Matt Swope grew up in the suburbs of Washington D.C., in Maryland. He attended and graduated from DeMatha Catholic High School, where he played baseball, basketball, and football. Matt obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Maryland College Park while on a baseball scholarship.

- 2002 Honoree of the Bosey Berger award inscribed each year with the senior who has been the most outstanding in baseball
- As a senior finished in the top ten in the ACC in batting average. Batted .370, 20 2b, 5 3b, 7hr, 55 RBI’s and captained a team that broke the school record for wins (34).

Jane grew up in Montgomery County, MD. She attended and graduated from Sherwood High School where she played varsity basketball, field hockey and softball. She continued her education at Elon University receiving her BS in Exercise/Sport Science with a minor in Psychology. She lettered all four years for the Elon women's basketball team and received an athletic scholarship her final two years.
